Come out to the Historic Trappe Visitor Center, located behind the Henry Muhlenberg House, for a live redware demonstration by River Rat Pottery.  Potter Bob Hughes will throw traditional redware vessels on his treadle wheel.  Sally Hughes will demonstrate sgraffito decoration on drape-molded plates featuring a Liberty Bell motif. Your venture begins with purchasing tickets at the Dewees Tavern to view the exhibition From Hubener to Medinger: Redware Potters of Southeastern Pennsylvania, then head on over to the Visitor Center to watch historic pottery techniques firsthand.
