Trappe Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1 (TVFC)
For over 100 years, the officers, firefighters, fire police and ambulance corps of Trappe Volunteer Fire Company have proudly and capably served and protected thousands of citizens in Montgomery County, including Trappe and Collegeville Boroughs and the Townships of Upper Providence, Perkiomen, Skippack, and Limerick. They have always answered the call to help their neighbors in distress, whether it is putting out a fire, aiding those whose homes have flooded, or rescuing animals.
TVFC is made up entirely of volunteer fire fighters. The TVFC has been servicing Trappe Borough since 1911. For more information visit www.trappefire.org.
From their station on Fifth Avenue in Trappe (by the blinking traffic light on Main street) TVFC are the primary responding Fire Company to Trappe Borough and a large portion of Upper Providence Township. Their service area includes mutual assistance to Perkiomen Township, Limerick Township, Collegeville Borough and Skippack Township.
Emergency Medical Services
The EMS is located at the TVFC on Fifth Avenue in Trappe. They have a substation located at the Limerick Fire Company on Ridge Pike. The EMS provide Advanced Life Support care for residents living in Trappe and Collegeville Boroughs, Limerick, Upper Providence, and Perkiomen Townships. The EMS regularly provide mutual aide to Skippack, Lower Fredrick, Lower Providence, Pottstown, Lower Pottsgrove Township and other nearby communities.
